Refund Policy

Tryout fees: Tryout registration fees are collected prior to tryouts and are used to cover facility rental fees, coaching staff,  site supervisors and janitorial staff required by the district we are renting space from. Try out fees are non-refundable.

Season Fees:

 All season fees collected by Tartan Juniors Volleyball Club are used to pay for facility use, coaching services, tournament registrations and uniforms. Upon being placed on a team, your player is committed to the club for the entirety of the season.  Should your player decide to terminate their relationship with the club before the season is over, the player or financially responsible party forfeits any fees paid to the club.

If your player is not offered a spot on a team at tryouts and full payment was already submitted online, you will be refunded in full.

If your player is offered a spot on a team at tryouts, and chooses not to accept the spot, and full payment was already submitted online. you will be refunded your season fees minus the processing fee

In the rare event that a player is unable to complete the season (such as prolonged illness, injury or extenuating circumstances discussed with the club President and Treasurer) a refund will be issued less processing fees, any previously purchased facility use, tournament fees, coaching expenses and uniform costs. 

COVID-19 and Refunds:

Participation in Club Volleyball is voluntary, and each player, coach, board member and parent assumes the risk of possible exposure to COVID-19 while participating in practices, tournaments and fundraising events.

If an entire team or multiple teams must quarantine due to a COVID exposure, the team(s) will be required to participate in online Zoom practices during their regularly scheduled practice days and times unless too ill to do so. 

If a tournament must be cancelled during this time, all reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule/replace the missed tournament. No refund will be offered in this circumstance.

Should the government implement a state wide shut down, or implement new restrictions that make it impossible to continue with in person or online instruction and tournament play for the remainder of the season the club will do it’s very best to provide refunds to each player or financially responsible party less the following fees:

• Uniform expenses

• Used, or non-refundable facility rental expenses

• Used, or non-refundable coaching expenses.

• Used, or non-refundable tournament registration expenses.

• Non-refundable insurance expenses.

• Non-refundable administrative fees such as taxes, equipment purchases, business supplies, etc.

Please note that refunds will vary by team due to different season fee totals, season lengths, and number of remaining tournaments and practices.
